Stay Cool!

A short project made with RPG Maker MV for the Toasty game jam.

Theme: "Unnerving and uncomfortable"

Genre: Narrative game with multiple endings, slapstick comedy, and lots of humiliation.

Playtime: 15–20 minutes.

Story: Survive a school day as a student suffering from hemorrhoids. Talk to your classmates, answer your teacher’s questions, and try to win the heart of your dream girl. Reach one of three alternate endings (S, A, or C).

Graphics: All assets are either hand-drawn or modified versions of sprites from Quarantine ME.

AI disclosure: In line with the rules of the jam, AI tools were used as follows:
– ChatGPT for translation (I'm Italian and English is my second language) and minor plugin edits (priority and opacity for the variable bar).
– SunoAI to create the soundtrack. 

Credits: Game designed and developed by SIDD. Plugin credits: Galv and Vincent.

Future Updates: If the game wins a prize or reaches 10+ sales, I’ll release a free update with more polish, new dialogue, and 2 extra endings (cut due to time constraints).

Complaints: I had to cut about 50% of the ideas to make the deadline. That includes giving less weight to the outcomes of Scene 2 and the impact of choices on the variable bar. Gameplay issues can (and will) be addressed in a future update,  for now it's actually easier to reach rare endings than the standard one.
